AYURVEDA
Getting to the Source of the Problem
not just Treating the Symptom
Are you confused by all the Ayurveda terms and hesitant from exploring this ancient wisdom of well-being because it’s too much to learn?
Balance Within gives it to you straight, simple, and personal, for your specific needs.
Ayurveda is an individualistic, whole body (holistic) wellness system that creates integration of Body, Mind, Spirit, and experiencing harmony with nature. A separation between any of these can result in poor health, internal discomfort, unclear mind, pain, or dis-ease. Ayurveda recognizes that our make-up, or constitution, is different from each other’s. Therefore we need individualized diet, and treatment strategies. Ayurveda is preventative based, and also specializes in holistic treatments for existing conditions, which means getting to the source of the problem not just treating the system.

What’s a Dosha?
Everything is made up of the 5 elements, ether (space) air, fire, water and earth. The proportions of each element make everyone and everything different.
Doshas
From the 5 Elements the 3 Doshas are created.
Ether + Air = Vata
Fire + Water = Pitta
Water + Earth = Kapha
For each element, there is a balanced and imbalanced expression. You were born with a unique combination of the three Doshas. This comes with certain gifts and certain challenges.
