Everyone has intuition, but you may be blocked if you feel like you don’t.

We have many intuition blockers. Some are alcohol, sugar, food, shopping, social media, sex, T.V./Netflix, scrolling aimlessly on social media, and many, many more. We constantly want to be entertained, creating an addiction or a dopamine hit, always wanting more.

When we feel Stress and Anxiety and choose a distraction or blocker, we feel better in the immediate moment, but the feeling doesn’t last. We still endure the effects of our Bodies of Stress and Anxiety. But now, the body must additionally process the sugar, alcohol, etc., creating a Stress and Anxiety cycle.

Life is about balance. It doesn’t mean you can never do these things, but be aware when you are distracted, balance your time and intentions with some quiet time, and begin to break the cycle.

Walk in Nature, jump in the ocean, go for a hike, or walk amongst the trees. Just listen. Maybe you have lots of thoughts, and that is ok; learn to be the observer and listen.

There are so many nuggets of wisdom when we can be and listen.

When you begin to listen and be, the nervous system can relax and receive unthreatened external stimuli. Our nervous system gets a moment to feel safe without having to constantly calm conflict.

When our nervous system isn’t bogged down, our intuition becomes stronger. If we aren’t always in a fight or flight mode, we notice our emotions and where they are coming from, which becomes a powerful tool.
