The equinox leads us to equal lightness and darkness and is upon us. 🔆 🟰🌑

 

The ☀️ seasons, 🍁, sure goes by fast from my perspective.🤯

 

The shift in seasons is when we are most vulnerable in our minds and bodies.

If we could take just five minutes to check in to see how we are feeling, we can avoid unwanted and unneeded inflammation, aches, pains, anxiety, and more.

 

 

Take a breath or try alternate nostril breathing for just two minutes to ground, and then ask yourself a few questions.

 

How are you feeling?

Mind?

Body?

 

What is the weather like right now where you live?

Is it still hot and summer-like?

Is it cooling off?

Dry or humid?

 

I often hear I wear shorts until it’s _________ insert date, or we won’t turn on the heat until winter.

Being present and acting according to the climate is vital to thriving in our health.

The day-to-day or moment-to-moment dressing is essential now and not the calendar.

Is it cold in the morning? Throw on a scarf and take it off as it warms up!

 

Are you craving any foods? Cravings are often a great tool to see what our bodies and minds want.

 

Food cravings are a great tool to see what our bodies and minds are asking for.

Salty foods can mean your body is trying to hold on to hydration.

Sweet foods (not processed sugary treats) help you cushion your mind (ground) and build in your body

Instead of grabbing the same foods, ask yourself, “What am I actually craving?”

 

Notice how you respond to different foods or activities during various times of the day, week, and year, connect with the constant change in nature, and learn how to adapt and thrive!
