Holistic health and wellness mean different things to different people. As the new year brings new possibilities for greater wellbeing, what health goals will you create?

What is important to you?

Do you want to feel happier, more peaceful, or more energized?

Do you want a clear mind?

Do you want to be more decisive when important decisions need to be made?

Do you want to be more fit, more flexible, feel better and more confident in your body?

Do you want to improve your eating habits and have better digestion?

Many people have been conditioned to think about their health as a temporary endeavor. Especially in the moment when something goes wrong, we can be quick to make a change, but will the changes be sustainable?

To achieve and maintain your health goals, it is important to think long-term instead of short-term. Consistent, long-term, healthy lifestyle choices result in improved health that will last. Consistency will provide you the results you set out for.

Holistic health and overall wellbeing come from a combination of lifestyle factors. Aspects such as diet, exercise, stress management and self-care are all inter-related. This means that to improve one aspect of your health, it’s important to tune into and focus holistically on your overall health habits.

What can you do to align your health with what you truly want in your life?

Create a health goal for yourself. Make it one goal and super specific.

Example: “I want to be healthy is not specific enough.”

What does healthy mean to you? What is the result you want when you think about being healthy? Maybe you want more energy, to be at an ideal weight, lower your anxiety or reduce stress? Get specific!

Choose at least 2 action steps you will consistently take until it becomes a habit.

When your 2 action steps seem effortless, (after a minimum 30 days), choose 2 more action steps that move you towards your goal.
