When we are thankful, we feel more contentment and joy. Gratitude becomes an attitude, a perspective, and a way of life.

If it is authentic gratitude, it can bring abundant health benefits to Mind, Body and Soul.

Our mind scans for evidence of the truth. When we train our mind to be thankful, it will consistently search for more things to be grateful for.

When the mind finds evidence to feel grateful on a regular basis, it gives the body a sensation of satisfaction that takes us out of the fight or flight stress cycle. This helps us calm the nervous system resulting in stronger immunity, better digestion, sound sleep, and many other perks.

You can start small and begin to develop a gratitude habit now.

  • Upon waking, name 1-10 things you are grateful for. Try not to auto pilot this but look for new things each day…big or small.
  • If you would rather do this weekly, you can write or journal about all the things this week that you are grateful for.
  • Tell someone that you appreciate them and why. This will benefit the both of you!
