Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect earth’s natural resources for future generations.

There is a lot to complain about how we treat the environment; however, take a moment to pause and feel the beauty the earth provides.

Yes, feel.

The switch from upset to gratitude creates a shift or opening in our body as we take in the beauty.

🌺 Go outside today, take off your shoes (for full effect), and connect with something in     nature for 20 minutes (or longer.)

➡️ A tree 🌳🌴🌲

Explore its branches, trunk, and leaves. Examine the color. Does it have a scent?

➡️ The sky 🌠 🎆 🌤️

Explore the colors and textures in the sky. Are there clouds? Or perhaps it is evening, and there are stars. Does the air feel humid or dry? Cold or warm?

➡️ Water, the ocean, a lake, or river 🌊 🏞️ 💧

Is it windy or still? Are there waves? Are the water levels high, low, or just right? What is the temperament of the water?

➡️ Mountain or boulders/rocks 🪨🌄🗻

Explore the sturdiness of the mountains. What is their essence? How do you feel being in their presence? What colors do they have? Shapes?

To connect with nature is a practice of connecting to the energies we are comprised of. (Ether, Air, Fire, Water, Earth)

It is magnificent if you stop to enjoy it. It is grounding, mind-clearing and expansive.

🌺 Practicing Gratitude

Doing the above twenty minutes in nature, do you feel a genuine sense of gratitude?

What in nature are you grateful for?

How does nature make you feel?

The shift into gratitude feels good. It gives us hope and an openness.

I hope you play along with this twenty-minute exercise often.

It can work wonders for your nervous system and FAST!
